Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and energetic Float Teacher to join our team! You will be responsible for encouraging children’s intellectual, psychological, and physical growth. The ideal candidate is nurturing, patient, and creative. If you have a passion for helping children learn and reach their potential, we want to hear from you! This position is working with children 18 months through six years of age. The hours would be 8:45 a.m. - 4 p.m. We follow the Canandaigua City School Calendar and close for breaks and holidays.

Qualifications
- Previous experience as a teacher or childcare provider
- Strong understanding of child development
- Patient, kind, and nurturing
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
- First aid/CPR certified
Compensation: $17.50 - $18.50 per hour
Established in 1973, our non-profit organization is devoted to promoting standards of excellence in Montessori education. With five staff members, Canandaigua Montessori School now serves a total of 50 children, ages 18 months through 6 years of age. We currently offer toddler, primary, and kindergarten programs. Our curriculum covers a variety of subjects including math, science, literature, the arts, history, social issues, and the study of technology. Weather permitting, our children will have ample time for outdoor physical activity and fun.
